End of Chainwheels ?

Anybody tried one of these, Hammerschmidt AM Gear, to replace Chainwheels.

Never tried. Seems to be an alternative to the Schlumpf 2 speed drives, but like those, still with high drag when the ratio is changed, The chain ring sizes on offer are very restrictive though, compared with Schlumpf and their wider range.
