Error number

My buddy's Bafang front hub drive has an error 25 message can someone tell me where the fault lies, The unit came from Whoosh and to date has never faltered

Error 25 means a brake sensor has failed.
Check first to see if the levers are not mechanically stuck.
Then unplug one brake sensor at a time, the error will go when you unplug the brake sensor that has failed.

Well I now have the bike to fix. The error 25 is not displayed now all I'm seeing is a dead bike,so in the absence of any other plan I will substitute components from another kit untill I find the problem starting with the battery and controller
