Hi,
I'd been planning on buying a Cube Touring Hybrid One 500 this spring from my local bike shop £1799. Today I went into a shop 30 miles away and had a look at a Cube Cross Hybrid Exc Allroad 500 and I'm torn. The salesman offered to knock 10% off the price bringing it down to £2100 with a free pannier rack fitted. This bike is higher spec, lighter (a big plus) and I was offered a good deal.
So: cheaper bike, closer to home for ease of servicing or more expensive bike, higher spec, decent discount but too far away to ride it in for a service?
Any thoughts?

ask your LBS if they can match the deal.

I just bought a Cube Touring One 500 2019 for £1570 from an LBS, and they are still doing them for £1630, so there should be a little movement possible from your LBS.

Also that is the Iridium n Black version which had the best spec of the One's.

You can also get the 2018 400 Iridium for £1430 currently which may be the best value Bosch Activeline Plus bike out there at the moment. The range is so ridiculous that even with a 400 battery range anxiety is pretty unlikely.

Thanks for the info. I wanted the Touring Hybrid One in a 46T frame and it's not available until June. I upped my budget and put a deposit on a Cross Hybrid Exc Allroad 500 at my LBS. No discount but £200 worth of accessories and 3 years free servicing.
