On a rare afternoon off i went to test the Agattu's real climbing ability. The following ride was off one battery/charge although it did run flat 4 miles from home.(i did need to do this to reset it) Still given the climbing it achieved and against a strong headwind on the return jorney it gave an awesome performance.Anybody with any doubts as to the bike meeting their needs only need to look at the following details.
Now if Wisper will loan me a bike........

Absolutely CB.

There is no doubt that the KK is a great bike as is our Wisper. It would be fantastic to get some data regarding the efficiency hub vs gear drives that is more scientific than that from two (probably bias) riders or manufacturers comparing notes about the bikes in which they have they have heavily invested. We have a switchable torque sensor / cadence sensor coming out on our 2011 bikes, it would be interesting to do the same ride on both settings. It would also be good to get some with and without throttle data.

The only problem is as the weather gets cooler the data will be affected.

I have read most of your posts and I am sure you would be very straight forward in your findings.

For me having a couple of opportunity's a few weeks ago to ride a Swiss Flyer X class, probably the Rolls Royce of Panasonic bikes....Then getting back on the wisper I was kinda expecting to be disappointed. Not a bit of it! In all honesty they are a great bike for the money!

After scanning the internet i found this written by somebody on a club ride around the section of Pendle Hill which i rode,

I don't have long to find out as Sabden is right at the bottom of Pendle Hill, we ride through the town then a marshall directs us left and then the real torture begins. Nothing could prepare you for this climb. The gradient according to my computer stayed between 25-30% all the way up. Riders were climbing off there bikes left right and centre. Others were weaving left and right to try to reduce the gradient. My legs had very little in them and they were screaming at me to get off. At the ¾ mark I start to weave from left to right which makes things a little better. At the top I am completely spent, as I ride up and down the rolling road there is just no power at all. I eventually arrive at a crossroads and recognise where I am. I take a left and then realise we are going to approach Newchurch in Pendle from the road on the left. Arthur had gone that way on a recent club run and said afterwards he remembered why we didn't go that way anymore because it was so steep.

I didn't have to get off the Agattu !!! Shame i wasn't going up the same time as they were....
