After a busy week we are now back from an enjoyable few days at the Eden Project electric bike show.

The visitor numbers were not huge and weather could have been better, but overall it was a worthwhile trip and importantly we along with the other traders were able to introduce the virtues of electric bikes to a new audience.

Ken Ching from eZee came over from Shanghai for the event before heading off to Switzerland then Germany to attend the Spezi show there http://www.spezialradmesse.de/index.php?welcome

Despite suffering toothache, Ken managed to keep smiling and was on hand to offer help and advice to visitors as well as supporting Cyclezee.

Here are just a few photos from the event.

The weather was mixed, Saturday was wall to wall sunshine, but it like a fridge inside the display area, Sunday light rain, Monday light rain and sunny periods, Tuesday was a bit warmer with sunny periods.

Hi Jon,

Just realised you were there too, so I didn't need to tell you what the weather was like:eek:

It was nice to meet you and your wife too;)

Are those MK concrete cows the the background John? - you must have taken a big van down there:D

Hi Shem,

Yes we did have a big van, but they are not MK cows in the photo. Ours are looking rather gruesome right now as someone has given them a skeletal look which is not good.

Last week I gave Ken Ching a tour of MK and we ended up in your local for a meal, The Caldecote Arms which was OK, but we should have gone to my local, The Black Horse.

Unfortunately, we don't have the same vast choice of cuisine as Shanghai or Ken's home town Singapore and he was disappointed that we couldn't find a decent pasty in Cornwall:(

We did however find good pub grub in Mevagissey at the Sharksfin and the Hop & Vine in St.Austell.

You never said you wanted to know where to get a decent Oggy!

You just needed to arsk...

I kept telling those wot arsked to try Kittows' Butchers down at Holmbush.

Theirs are the only ones worth having, apart from the Tregonissey Butchers' ones, maybe.

Never, ever, under any circumstances wotsoever, Ever eat one of Ginsters' abominations - Did I say Never - Well, just don't - Ever.

Maybe I'll bring you one to Bristol in june - You can send it by surface mail to Ken - He'll enjoy that .

Yes, stay away from the 2 for £10, you should have ordered duck or goose they go down to the lake and pick and pluck;)

John, I hope you used the opportunity to talk to Ken Ching about how to make Ezee bikes look more attractive. What? You forgot! Shame on you.

Just to reinforce my point: That conversion kit one with a bottle battery in the photo above looks a million times more contemporary than the green Ezee Torq

Dave,

Beauty is more than skin deep;)

Anyway, Ken is back in Shanghai now, so you can pop along and tell him yourself on your trip. Hope you have a good one.

The kit bike is just an example of a relatively cheap non powered bike conversion.

My personal favourites right now are the Forza Mk2 RWD and the Expedir utility bikes which will be hitting the streets of London next week;)

I think all of John's bikes look "pretty" reliable;)
