Ezee Forza Dual

Since completing my dual battery Ezee powered recumbent trike, I have now upgraded my Forza to utilize the same the same two batteries by fitting a rear battery rack and wiring them in parallel.
The job was quite straightforward. I had just one anxious moment after connecting everything and before heat shrinking the connections. I fitted the rear LiFePO4, switched on the power, but nothing happened:confused: , then I realised that the switch for the primary battery needed to be turned on too, whether that battery is installed or not. All OK now and working perfectly:cool:

is that not plural to be grammatically correct !!!
OMG, how did they get in the background:eek: Actually, I think the young lady is admiring the bike;)
By the way, don't you think the colours are exceptionally beautiful this Autumn, who needs New England.

I don't know about the range yet as I only completed the work this afternoon, but I hope to find out next weekend when I go on an organised ride. Problem is do I take the bike or the trike:confused:

it will be interesting to see what difference there is between bike and trike ..if any...you could do with a garmin to record times etc to compare the two on the same route.

You would expect the bike to use less power with it's 250w motor and 2 wheels, but the bike has a throttle which takes discipline not to open it fully.
However, the trike, despite it's 3 wheels and 350w motor has much lower drag and the EAF, which works like a cruise control and power limiter, means I am less tempted to use full power. With no throttle, it could be more economical on battery power than bike.

Time will tell.

That Forza looks the business John, even more robust looking than usual.

And yes, Autumn is looking very promising this year, though I suspect a little behind yours in my area at present.

Thanks Tony,

I put it together in a bit of a hurry this afternoon to get it ready for the weekend. There are still a few improvements to make. I need to work on lowereing the rear carrier and 1" or so and bring it forward as far as I can to improve the balance. One of the carrier 'legs' was fouling the disc caliper and preventing me from getting it where I wanted, so I need to make a modification there. Once that is done I can neaten up the rear battery cable.
