In parallel to what Andy Grayland has mentioned in the batteries section, Wai Won Ching has confirmed to me that Onbike is now the official eZee brand distributor for the UK.

Once the leading upper price range e-bike brand in the UK, a period of trouble due to failures of the batteries supplied to them led to a very difficult period for eZee over the last two years. Now with a choice of two capacities of improved batteries from a different manufacturer and a dedicated e-bike distributor, they are better placed for the future and I wish them well.

The two batteries are a lithium-polymer 10 Ah and a lithium polymer 14 Ah, both lighter than the original li-ion battery. Both use the same size case, the 14 Ah nominal one having two compact 7 Ah batteries in parallel mounted within. Because they run in parallel, the actual capacity at a 5 Amp discharge rate on their powerful motors is 13.5 Ah. The capacity of all batteries varies according to discharge rate of course, the eZee one no different in this respect, and the larger capacity battery gives a substantial increase in range. Because larger batteries are less stressed under load, their life is usually improved as well.

when I was looking into E bikes originally last year I had not much luck with the new Brighton Ezee distributors so I went for the Wisper. It will be good to have another strong range of throttle assist bikes, and i have been meaning to try one before I change bikes again.
