I'm going to Germany in a few weeks on the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry. I'm going in a pick up truck and was thinking of sticking my e-bike in the back. Does anyone know if ferries have a problem with e-bike batteries or anything?

I hope not..they seem more concerned with large canisters of LPG. you are allowed 2x11kg bottles which I would think far more potentially dangerous then most proper e bike batteries

None whatsoever Jim......so dont worry.

And gas canisters in m/homes just have to be turned off for the duration of the voyage.
