Hello all,

Just go my new e bike yesterday and loving it. I got the Cube Hybrid stereo 120 and did my commute to work on it. As it was a lot of money I wanted to make sure it was insured under my home insurance. But they would not cover e bikes of any type. So i'm looking around. Can any one recommend an insurer and whats a good price?

Thanks

Just purchased my first EBike and have insured it through my home insurance provider Sainsbury's Bank. They charged me an additional £38 for £2000 worth of cover.

Direct Line cover bicycles up to £1000 as part of their home policy, and specifically mention e-bikes in the policy. Items over that value must be specified individually and will probably incur an extra charge.

I’m with Halifax home insurance, for 2 ebikes it was an extra £4 for the year...
