I think it is great to share knowledge in Forums. How about all the people who don't usually post on here, but read, I hope you all agree ??

I for one wish I had more knowledge of E-bikes, not less so keep it coming.

I have been lurking for a couple of years, and have never had much to contribute. The information I have received however has been invaluable.

It's important to recognise that these posts turn up in google searches. That's where I have read most of them.

With the current debate about technical vs simplistic, and the way that many posts descend into personal (even vitriolic) abuse, I think its important for us all to remember that these debates are not held behind closed doors.

Perhaps a more supportive and tolerant attitude is called for, so that this knowledge can be recorded without adulteration.

It goes without saying however, that you are free to tell me to f#ck off.:)

I concur Mike,

Forums like this one unfortunately evidently cannnot moderate some off the personal abuse flying around the ether, unless correspondants personally know each other, I feel a degree of civility must be observed on this forum as a matter of politeness, anything else just doesn't cut it.

Please can all forum members remember that .

Yes this forum has seriously increased my life enjoyment. The knowledge shared - sometimes between flying brickbats! - has helped no end. So thanks to those who know their stuff and take the time and trouble to explain it to the engineeringly-challenged - even when there's disagreement. I can pretty much maintain and improve my ebike by myself only as a result of the input here (and one or two other fora/ae/i/ums).
So warm fuzzies all round - let any necessary forgiveness flow in light of the greater good, eh? (I get filled with such noble thoughts this time of year....)

Me...I just ride the things, but find myself having to look further afield for info on the types of bikes that interest me

With the current debate about technical vs simplistic
For the record I didn't use this word, I used simple, meaning understood easily.

Simplistic means made to appear too simple, ignoring significant issues, not at all what I meant.

It was really my own take on it, not meant as a direct quote. I do however agree with your point, and stand corrected.
