Fork advice

My e bike is now 3 years old and 7k miles, the cheap original xcm forks are pitted and don't perform to well nowadays in spite of me stripping and regreasing them. So i bought a new set of xcm forks like the originals as they were cheap but they are lockout models, they came without any cabling to activate the locking.
So my question is as they are in the unlocked position can I just fit them and run them without fitting the locking cable etc. More a question for a mtb forum but I'm not on any so thought I would ask here.

it will just be for a cable to the remote on the bars but lock out on these cheap forks are rubbish anyway you just wont be able to lock them out.

Thanks soundwave, i didn,t want the lockout feature so thats perfect
