Could someone be kind enough to measure from the top edge at the rear of the battery, along to where it starts to slope at the front of the battery.. please :)

I'm trying to make a template, but that angled shape at the rear, is difficult to judge without a few more dimensions.

It's on little ramps. It comes up 10mm and along 25mm.

I just got settled down in front of the telly again, but seeing as it's you.............
225mm

Height at the bottom is 125mm and at the top 115mm

Thanks for those dimensions d8veh. I was trying to explain the length at the top of the battery.
In the link showing the battery, there is the 'c' in eclipse ebikes at the top of the picture.
So the length measured from the 'c' to the front edge of the battery where it starts to slope.

With the other dimensions, I'll be able to work out that angle at the rear and cut my template accordingly.

Must have been writing this as you were posting those other dimensions.. Thanks mate :)

Thought the dimensions might be a bit of a squeeze in the frame at first, but once I incorporated that angle at the rear, there's plenty of room.

Someone certainly gave this design a good bit of thought :)

I really like the way you can carry a spare battery and swap them over on a long journey. I've even used three batteries in a day. I know you can do that on some other bikes as well.

That's without doubt a Brucie bonus with these batteries. My previous Ping split pack was strictly non removable. Even with the 5 amp charger, a 3 hour stop at home would be a pain, if the weather was good and I wanted to stay out and play.

Anyone know something similar but accepting 100 cells? 52 does seem low for me

I reckon 52 cells is probably nearing the limit of how many cells one can fit in this type of casing.
d8veh might have opened one up, so he should be able to give you a definitive answer on this one ;)

100 cells = 5kgs - too heavy for the standard water bottle two M5 bolts but nothing stops you linking two 52-cell packs to the same BMS.

Cwah's opened one too. You can't get any more cells in. If you want more, you have to make your own case with extra brackets to the frame.

Cwah, you could just carry along a second battery to change to when the first runs out, as d8veh says above. Would that suit?

that's what i am currently doing but that's not very convenient. Also, it creates higher strain on cells which also a big pb
