Frame variants

Looking at Cube I notice that for some models there are three frame choices. I can understand step through of course but also two further variants where the cross bar is offered in two angles. Why would this be?

A high crossbar gives the strongest frame for weight, and a low step is the most convenient for many of us. The traditional in-between 'ladies' frame with low crossbar is a compromise, easier to mount than a full crossbar and stronger than a step-through.
