Just offered this on EBAY! Am I mad? No, I just want to use my "new" ebike more!

BOOK - JAMAICAN DICTIONARY | eBay UK

Those in the know will know that my current range is about 20 miles so I am half expecting Frank in Banbury to bid just to flatten my battery and me! ... If I dont sell I may start composing my postings in Jamaican english! (I wonder if there is a Welsh version? )

Another great idea from "thejenkino" think tank?

Lynda, for you I would have extended my range! ... anyway ... it seems that my new business is up and running. I'll be delivering by CX700 to ... Harwell ... which apparently is 44 miles. Man, this ebay buyer is mean! (the buyer has offered a cup of tea and a charge for the return journey) ...
This is probably how Bill Gates, Alan Sugar and the guy at Norfolk Heatwave started .. now what can I call my new enterprise? ... The ebay ebike delivery service - service with a smile and some sweat

Yes, it will enable me to refresh my language skills. Anything authored by University of the West Indies staff is worth a look. I taught optics and other subjects there for a year at the end of the 60's.

Right then......lets see what other books you can come up with......to be perfectly honest...jamaican english is not my fave reading matter :)
Good luck with your delivery.....its hilarious......I can just imagine the handover......recharging/test riding.....you wont get many customers done in a day :) :)

You need a better name for the business though......sweat doesnt quite have that certain 'ring' to it......

Delivery achieved

Kitchenman was as good as his word and we met this afternoon at my son's house for him to deliver the book. Here we are posing for the handover ceremony:

Then we got down to a detailed examination of Kitchenman's Cytronix Cannondale Quick CX700 and my Kalkhoff Agattu.

We charged up Kitchenman's tiny battery in one hour - and sent him on his way. I hope he reaches home before nightfall.

Thanks for the free delivery of an excellent book, and the chance for a chat. I strongly recommend Kitchenman for deliveries by e-bike around Hampshire and nearby, and I have promised to look at his google spread sheet. Where is it?

Just seen this 'adventure by ebike'. Well done, especially on a Cytronex. I live only 6 miles away from Harwell so you could have made it a 50 miler and come over to see my recumbents. Next time then, you're welcome to visit.
I think it's a great idea delivering things by ebike. I once bought a microwave oven from Wantage (round trip of about 35miles), strapped it to my rack and went home on the Ridgway (muddy off-road route).
Seriously, we have enough of us dotted around the UK that we could set up an ebike delivery service - we can call it 'Pedelecs delivery ltd' with profits to the forum.

What about wool? Almost a day goes by without a delivery of wool that my wife has bought on ebay. She has quite a stash (term used to describe lots of wool) ..These packages can contain from 1 to 20 balls of wool.

NOW you are talking......any ribbon yarn for example or anything unusual.....I'm always on the look out.
Mind you, I must have your wifes permission in writing before you start decimating her hard won stash :)

Louise is an ebay buyer. Are you? I told her the idea and after giving me "that look" she proceeded to bid on some wool being sold as "collect only" in Hook (Hampshire) and told me that if she wins I can pick up. So.. she's on board! ... in the future she can buy stuff from anywhere and the army of ebike volenteers can jump into action! ... except .. umm .. nobodies volunteered yet!
