Free energy from the sun

I just thinking to develop the solar cell system to recharge our e-bike. do any body know the most efficient system for this purpose?

so far I have :
1. solar panel - solar controler - inverter (12 V to 220 V) - regular charger - lithium battery.
I feel this system not efficient there are a lot of lost energy and need another battery to back up during charging

2. solar panel (3 series panel) - solar controler (36 V) - lithium battery
Any comment for this system will be appreciated.
