Noomad transforms bicycle into three-wheeled cargo bike

I think this looks great - ok, not if you have a front wheel conversion but I have noticed quite a few posts about folk you want to take more luggage or want more stability due to health issues such as MS. This way you could keep much loved bike if you wanted. And personally I prefer the look to a rear trike (2 wheels at back)

The tilting mechanisms seems clever to give a "normal" ride.

And imagine how many aH of batteries you could pile up on that rack !

Also easy to convert back and forth (relativley i.e no having to change forks or anything like that)

I'm sure an engineer will come along and ruin my day by saying it'll never work ! But this isnt some kickstarter vapourware - you can go buy it right now

Great idea, but £400. What's the advantage over a single-wheeled trailer that only costs £50 and removes in seconds.

thats one reason why i haven't bought one - and one reason why i'd like someone else to :) but its cool...and i want one, in the same way as i always wanted a recumbent trike, even though the best thing about cycling is being high up and seeing over things.....

I use the Andersen Shopper which I purchased in Germany about 4 years ago.

Andersen Shopper® Manufaktur | Products | Bike & Easy | Shopper® attached/Coupling

There are links to retailers on the site. Current cost is about 190 euros
The shopping bag has capacity of approx 55L and includes a frozen/cool food compartment and can quickly be removed from the trolley. Andersen & the retail suppliers say it can carry up to 50kg ??? not quite sure about that!! I have carried a small blacksmiths anvil which weighed 32kg. I have also carried a very large TV in a carton (This was way over size and probably not a good idea!!)
The trolley can be used for carrying anything that will fit and can easily be wheeled around and it folds flat.

The main one I was thinking of was for those seeking stability eg Those with MS which deteriotes to point cannot use 2 wheels

A trailer only provides haulage capabilities

but the linkage makes them kind of wobbly if i understand it - would be interesting to try one and see though.

There have been a number of these tilting designs over a number of years, both trikes and quads, and they've been tried and found perfectly ok to ride. VeloVision have reported on them in a number of issues.

However, the dynamics are those of a normal bike, so if someone is nervous riding a normal bike they won't find this any advantage.
