I've probably stumbled across one of the many dodgy battery companies on the net
Has anyone come across Fullriver batteries and are they any good?
The prices for the LiFePO4 packs seem reasonable and the website appears much better presented than most of the chinese sites.
Feel free to shoot me down in flames

You pays your money and takes your chance

The batteries certainly tick all the right boxes in terms of physical dimensions and discharge rates, and yes, the prices are reasonable. There are always savings to be made by purchasing direct from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, should the battery fail prematurely, we are also burdened with the shipping costs back to China.

The only sensible way to view such a purchase, is that of an early adopter, and be prepared to write off the investment should it not come up to expectations. On the other hand, you may become the owner of a very good battery which will last for many years.

If you are the sort of chap who likes everything to be covered by a cast-iron copper-bottomed guarantee, then you may consider the risks unacceptable.

eddieo, it's being sent away on Monday for them to test/replace.
I probably didn't mention before that this is the second time it's been sent back.
Unfortunately it's from Zhejiang Xinghai Energy Technology Company, which someone mentioned wasn't particularly good at making reliable batteries.
I think the power drain from the motor is a little too much for this battery and ends up knacking it.
Hence my search for a reliable alternative to use as the main battery, or maybe piggyback onto the existing battery to share the load.
Obviously Ping is first on the list but i do like the Fullriver battery that fits to the seatpost.
I may sound pesimistic, but i fear this happening again in a months time and i want to able to enjoy the summer on my bike.
The rest of the bike components are fine.... Oh bugger, i've just jinxed it

Just thought i'd add that this in no way reflects on the quality of service from Sports HQ. They've been spot on each time.
Maybe i've just been a bit unlucky in receiving a slightly duff battery.

I think you've just been unlucky, best stick with it at present since it could be third time lucky.
