Hi Dave , what GPS device do you use plse.....long term Garmin automotive fan but really need something for cycle routes....
hi eddieo, this one is the new Montana 650.....it came with car mounting holder and also cycle handlebar mounting holder. i think its the first one which is suitable for car sat nav/cycling and walking gps......it came with uk and europe road and leisure maps. it also has a camera inbuilt so photos capture location gps. a bit bigger than many other gps units, its about size of iPhone and twice the thickness.(so its got a big colour screen !!!) a bit expensive but have used it for planning journeys by car , on the bike and also walking in the hills, so getting my moneys worth. loads of extra mapping available on micro sd chips to cover anywhere on the planet you would care to roam !!!!!!! good capacity rechargeable battery for all day use (charges via a usb port) and normal battery compartment available for back up........was looking for such a unit for a long time......was hoping it may do golf courses as well but it cant do that !!!
nice feature is the adventure option via basecamp software where a days outing is recorded and gives all the detail you could need. cadence and heart monitor add ons are also available for those interested in that type of data.
