Gazelle Experience ?

Anyone got any experience with Gazelles ?

A relative of mine is looking for a mid-mounted, big wheel, step-through Gazelle - he is 6ft in height. Their model range seems large and not easy to work out.

Are there any models you would recommend or any you would stay well clear of ?

Whilst on hols in Germany, we saw loads of Gazelles and they seem well built. Looking at prices, I guess he will be paying around £2K with a Gold battery. The Electric Bike Shops seem to keep good stocks of Gazelles but there isnt one near to us.

Any advise appreciated

Is it me or does the Gazelle Impulse em speed have a very similar spec to the Kalkhoff endeavour impulse S10 ?

Looks like it uses the same motor and software.

Gazelles are better made than a lot of bikes, including some at similar prices.

The finish and attention to detail is only apparent in the metal, so worth a look.

At one time Gazelles, in common with a lot of Dutch ebikes, had relatively weak motors.

I think that's been largely sorted now, but you still need to check you are getting a bike with as much poke as the competition.
