Hi, the Bafang 8FUN FM G311.250.D 36V 250W Bafang Front Wheel Hub gear Motor and the back G310 look a nice motor both 11:1 geared. in practice is it better than the 8 Fun 5:1 geared hub? I have a mid drive which is lovely but the chain needs replacing so often, was thinking of going front wheel as did a wheelie buy mistake the other day going up steep hill on a trail. Just got some cheap surly fixed steel forks at 1kg weight as front forks seem not to move much on grave, going Sten shock system?

The lighter smaller G370 uses 14.6 ratio.

Regarding the Stem shock £81 plus postage etc,etc is a lot for only 14mm of travel.

Not a lot of talk about new hubs now, is the G370 better, for the wife at slow speed would go higher torque but my daughter did a wheelie by mistake so think rear drive has some problems if the rider is not aware of power?
Got bad wrists now so need something to stop vibration on poor roads around here.

The G370 is only suitable for steel D'O's as the axle only has flat sides enough to fit in 9mm D/O's other wise the axle is completely round.

Thanks for that link, I have gone 48v battery now but think you can use a 36/48volt kt controller and limit the amps with the 48volts battery to the 36volts motor, the controller converts the current into phase current? Amps and volts?
