I'm near Amersham, and I mostly use a folding ebike to go geocaching; the bike goes in the car, I drive to where I'm going to cache, then I spend the day on the bike.
It's a Haro folder; originally it had an Alienocean kit, but I've replaced the motor, the controller and the throttle and so now it's really an ad-hoc build.
I use Hobbyking Lipo batteries, 4S 20c hardcases that give me 5AH and cost about £16 each. So four of them gives me 33 volts, 10 AH. I use iMax balancing chargers to charge them safely, and a low-voltage alarm on each one to discharge safely.
I have a few other ebikes, but that's currently my main one.
