Recent deliveries have made me realise that there have been dramatic changes in the attitudes of these manufacturing countries.
As someone who is closely involved in purchasing KTM from Austria and Kudos from China I am possibly uniquely positioned to view the recent changes.
The Austrians have pretty much reached a plateau in specification and design but the £1699.00 KTM Force models with good specification would suggest a desire to be very competitive in price,I suspect this is due to the e-bike business in Germany and Austria becoming more competitive.
The Chinese don't seem so willing to produce 'bargain basement' models,although these are still available,the quality and specification of our recent Kudos Rapide and Sonata bikes would suggest a desire to move up into a higher profile price point,the £1395.00 price is still competitive,to be compared to a £1900.00 commuter bike.
However,the difference between the German/Austrian price point and the Chinese price point is narrowing but so is the quality differences.
