A few nights ago I was reading about Yamaha's mid drive motor, and being a Yamaha race bike fan, I was keen to know a bit more about it, then tonight spotted the video below, but can't see any mention of the bike listed on Giants E-Bike range.

Did it not make it to production, or have I somehow missed it?

I don't seem to be able to post the link. :(

That's a completely new one from Yamaha, looks good, and I'm fairly sure we've had no UK announcement about it yet. After they discontinued the bevel drive system that they made from 1999 to 2006, they made a near copy of the Panasonic crank motor, but outside of Japan that only ever appeared on a Hungarian Gepida e-bike named the Reptila. That's still listed here but I doubt they'll continue with both that and this new one when it finally arrives in the West.

That's good, maybe they'll eventually think our tiny UK market will be useful for it as well. I think Giant are probably rather dispirited about the UK since none of their last few e-bikes have done well here.
