Has anyone an opinion on this bike? I'm going to look at it on Monday, seems like the sort of bike that will fit me with the step through frame plus I will fit a yose conversion to it 18 speed alloy frame I think the wheels could be 700 but not sure. Thankyou.

Giant is a good make and yes, the wheels are 700c.

Where will you be mounting the battery? On a rear rack?

The bike has rim brakes which work OK, but they are not optimal on an eBike.

If you wanted a step through frame with disc brakes, there is the Cannondale adventure but they are quite rare

There are lots of Carrera crossfire low step bikes with disc brakes that are usually <£100 for a nearly new example. I have converted one of those with rear rack battery and it was very simple (I changed the disk calipers for cable actuated hydraulic disk calipers, which cost £25 for both brakes, took about 20 mins and improved the braking)

I got the bike it's almost new for £55.00 absolute bargain in my eyes I would prefer to fit a downtube battery but the frame tube is bow shape so could be a problem and it's much cheaper than a rear rack, has anyone fitted there conversion to a frame like this, I already have a yose conversion on my mountain bike and find it brilliant but I prefer the sit bolt upright now it's more comfortable.

How confident are you at adding rivnuts to that downtube?

You would need some spacers (or washers) to get the battery cradle level, you would also need some longer screws.

It all looks rather precarious to me, but anything's possible If you're determined enough.

Did you see how I changed my MTB to sit up and beg riding? I changed the bars to Raleigh North Road and added a stem riser. Normally, you'd probably need to lengthen the brake hoses if you have hydraulic brakes, but I just got away with it. That bike is very comfortable now:

Wow now you got me thinking
You can get stem risers from Aliexpress for about £4. I got the handlebars from Ebay for £20. If you order those bars make sure that you get the 61cm version or longer because I've seen them too short at around 51 cm.

Yes one has just about got away with it , but for me the front it is still too taut and the rear putting pressure on the hose angle exiting the reservoir housing.

I would have to change both hoses if it was mine.

Don't forget that the forks shorten when you're on the bike.
