Giant expression

I have just purchased a giant expression it's in great condition and rides really well and no back ache as it's a sit bolt up bike, I want to fit a yose conversion to it but due to the frame being like a bow seems will have to buy the rear rack kit whitch is more expensive unless there is some way I could fit a down tube battery to it anyone?

My advice to you would be forget about Yosepower and get a Woosh kit with an XF08 freewheel conversion with a bag battery.

Any Yosepower kit you choose is going to come with headaches because of your downtube and rack fittings.

I can't see how extreme the curve is but surely 3 attachment points and some spacers would secure a down tube battery? Because of the spacers just use a larger set screw 6mm+.

Putting a flat surface on the curve like a 12" steel rule should make it clear if this is a feasible option.

I think I would go for the 20Ah one for the difference in price

They also (unusually) have some 250W rated 700C XF08 (freewheel) kits in stock with KT controller/display. Don't know if yours is currently freewheel or cassette, but easy and cheap to swap to freewheel if needed. (They also have front wheel XF07 kits in stock)

The original specs for that Giant say 7 speed at the rear which suggests freewheel.

Also, have you had a look at that frame? There seems to be no front anchor points for the rack.

I'm not sure where you would fit them on the PSWPower rack. What do you think?

Probably do-able but one would need to take great care drilling holes for rivnuts in that shape of downtube.

Well spotted - you can get seat clamps with rack mounting points
