I have been given this bike by my Dad who no longer needs it. He bought it in 2006 and it is in immaculate condition with battery and charger still working perfectly.

Giant LaFree Twist Comfort ST-Model Year 2002. 7 gears. Was £1080 when new. I have all the paperwork, receipts etc.

If I wanted to sell it could you advise me the best place to advertise and how much I should expect?

Thanks

Paul

I would think £100 to £200 mark depending whether the battery has any life left in it.

These were great bikes in their day, but so were PCs based on the Intel 486 processor.

You could chance it on the classified section of this forum.

As well as our classified section, send an advert to A to B magazine which has readers who are fans of the Lafree, as is the editor, David Henshaw. It will appear on their website and in the magazine.

As for value, almost no spares are available, not even batteries, and current NiMh cells for recelling are very poor. So I'd say £100, though a true enthusiast for this model might go to £200.
