Noticed this on fleabay and I draw attention to it purely because I met a chap riding one not long ago. Although perhaps lacking a little in style, I thought it seemed well appointed and when he told me it cost him about £800, I thought it was a bargain.

He loved it although he did say he had never ridden any other ebike but I'm sure a great many of our readers would be perfectly happy with something like this, especially at the price being asked.

they cost £650 on Halfords site......£50 more for local support and a returns policy probably worth an extra nifty fifty IMO

That eBay auction is trying to flout the distance selling regs, looks like there's no intention of any warranty.
I'm not sure how you deduced that as it does state in the ad:

"Lowest price in the UK - Supplied direct from the manufacturer with full 12 month warranty on all non expendable components."........Specsavers are doing good deals right now!

Having said that, Eddie's point about Halfrauds is valid in as much as they're right there on the High St and I'm sure they'd happily deal with any warranty claims without quibble. That's probably worth the extra for peace of mind.

It says that returns under the 7 day cooling off are subject to a 20% charge. It also gives the impression you are expected to deal direct with the manufacturer for warranty issues.
