Thanks for the link shemozzle....Ive downloaded it and look forward to reading it thoroughly it later.
Looks like a very good idea to help promote e-biking, the more help and publicity the better.

I noticed there is not much input from the UK.

Perhaps Kudos could invite the TestIt organisation over to Redbridge next year, although it would require a good turn out of dealers and users to impress upon them that we have a growing market in the UK and consider our inclusion of input in future publications.

Even though it's a rubbish testing organisation, I'm a subscriber to ExtraEnergy to keep up to date with their newsletters. I was notified by email about this download and have tried to get this pedelecs publication four times using more than one name form and more than one email address, but have received no responding email with a download link. And no, it's no my spam filtering since I've tried bypassing it to no avail. Seems their download service is as unreliable as their test reports.

P.S. Finally succeeded by using a dummy identity and email address. Perhaps they blacklisted me following my criticisms of ther bike testing methodology in case I attacked this as well!

I agree, it verges on eccentricity. The idea that speed is so locked to rider power is very much a flat country view. In my sort of territory where flat is rare, speed is determined by whether going up or downhill!

Their wish to ban all e-bike battery sales in favour of compulsory leasing is just as daft and completely unenforceable. It's also a licence to rip-off consumers.

I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they would have to test and approve them first;)

Yes, that's a trick that's been used successfully before. Screw the parameters down tight and squeeze the punters until they scream - but as long as they cough up the cash, the so-called "Testing and Approval" or "Registration" organisation don't care.
I tend to look askance at these things and occasionally wonder, if there's legislation involved, just who got the greasy palm or the brown envelope - if not now, then later.
