I just wanted to share this great experience. A week ago the hub motor in my Alien rebuild (36V brushless) started emitting a very loud noise with or without the motor active. I recorded the sound and sent it in a mail to Bob from AlienOcean. The same evening I got a reply asking for my mailing address so he could ship me a replacement motor. 5 days later I had a new hub motor in the mail (I live in Denmark). Excellent service and my bike is now back in full service.
Apparently Bob has only had a few motor failures (less than one in a hundred) so I have been quite unlucky, but it is great that the problem was so swiftly resolved.
