Hi All,
I am new to the forum and the electric bikes world.
I recently inherited a Bafang front hub motor (9p FM G31 250D DC 36V 250w there is a little sticker at the back with a 20 I'd imagine Wheel size?) and 36v Batteries from an eKatu50 Orbea. The controller is missing and the bottom bracket torque sensor has a stripped cable so probably going to replace it with a 12 magnet external sensor.
the project is to convert an old 91 GT terra but as a newly e enthusiast questions obviously start to creeping up. The ride would be a city commuter no hills or need for speed and PAS only.
So.. to the questions.. If the 20 sticker at the back of the motor is the wheel size fitting let's say a 26 inch tyre for city commute /no hills climbing would be a no go from the start ?
I have read that KT controllers are versatile , do I need to look for one for PAS only and no throttle (possibly with some options to fine tune the power delivery).
LCD display , happy with a very basic one to set let's say 3 level of assistance.
Sorry for the lengthy post and thank you in advance for any help on the above.
Ride safely, cheers from London.
