Hackspace for Electronic Projects

This was mentioned on BBC "Click" today. It seems that there's various clubs around the country, where you can get help with your electronics projects, and they have workshops and equipent.

Really great :cool:. Would love to have something like that within cycling distance ... still haven;t worked out how I'm going to make brackets for my lights or bike box without outlaying for even more tools :eek:.

A hackspace with metalworking equipment would be the answer to a prayer for many I'm pretty sure.

Providing they allocated a man in a brown coat with a big stick to stop people removing their eyes / arms / legs :D
:) ... H&S always the issue I guess. Found myself at the local police auction on Tuesday looking lustfully at second hand bench mounted workshop tools. They were more designed for industrial use unfortunately :(. Was so tempted to bid for things I don't have the workspace to accommodate ... but fortunately sanity prevailed !
