I thought that Germany dealt direct with Haibike? Whereas Raleigh is the distributer here although the same company owns both. In other words Haibike - Raleigh - Dealer. I may be wrong and if this is not the case the only extra cost should be small transportation costs which should be no more than the cost of sending a bike from Germany. It will be interesting to see the reason for the additional cost.

Yes Eddie that's the one, not fussed about battery colour , mud is my usual covering.
As they say its all about price, I totally agree why should we pay more than Germany .
For me not fussed about shipping back , I ship crates / boxes all around the world , so costs me nothing.

Nobody deals directly with Haibike. Marketing of production output from the Haibike facility is handled by Winora Group. Send an E-mail to Haibike....the reply will come from Winora Group Customer Service.

Bosch spares and service will be handled in the UK by Magura

Thanks for the information. Price should be the same, perhaps their making allowances for exchange rate but agree we should pay the same unless there is a very good reason why not. It is not just customers who want UK bikes to be the same price as other EU countries I am sure other dealers do to. That is why we currently stock AVE only at the moment. Looking to add new high end brand for 2013 at the moment likely to be KTM.

Sorry meant xh11 complete bike
Hi I have enquired and will get back to you as soon as possible. Assuming there is stock it should not be a problem. However as Eddie says there are some other good options.

Thanks,
David

Hi

As per a previous thread saying in Germany the dealers have massive margins to enable them to give massive Part Exchange on bikes to encourage clients to buy a new bike every 2/3 years also no used market as the PX are not resold so UK dealers Should be able to match German Prices

Quite right Frank.

Whilst this will not apply to all retailers, take my word for it, ;) some are surprisingly flexible.

Try for a 'deal', if they don't want to play, go to one that will.

I can imagine, just another layer of cake

As a fellow motorhomer you know how it is.... By example: I can get an identical and probably better spec'd LHD Adria camper in Germany for about £15,000 less then here:rolleyes:. car market was the same once, till everyone started buying Fords direct from Europe, remember the "UK pirates" campaign.....

I recommend sticking with brands that sell fairly

Hi XH11 and XH9 are framesets so this would work out quite expensive. However we could sell you an ex demsonstrater. This differs slightly from the standard spec as it has schwalbe big apple tyres and Sram X910 speed gears. Frame size is 45cm. Bike has 111km on the clock. RRP £2799 but we could do the bike for £2500.

Thanks
David
