about 3100€ then wheels, suspension, drive train etc...etc... So its going to cost a good whack!

call the chaps at EBCO and see ifthey will get you one then you will at least have the UK suppot

but if you google it lots of Germans offering it..so just play one of against another for best price.

EBC do not have any in country but there is one available, although not sure if it was the faster (45km) version or standard version. I spoke to them earlier today. Good bike but as Edddie says would cost a fair whack no matter where you got it from.

I would not expect EBCO to stock this.......if its available (EBCO will know) you could get one from Germany in days if available

Sorry eddie might not have been clear there is one frame available in Germany though as stated not sure whether it is the speed pedelec or standard. As you say would not take long to arrive after all it is not like sending something from China :D

Will give them a call tomorrow, emailed them earlier today. Was on train today with dodgy signal so just had a brief talk about bike.

Any news to share with us Martin , how did the meeting go with Haibike brand Manager ?

Alan
Hi Guys,

Sorry for the late reply, we have been manic down here at both shops, it seemes everyone is getting their bikes services and prepped ahead of the sprig! We dont normally have this first rush till March!

Anyway back on topic...

The meeting was great, it was nice to speak to the Haibike brand manager, I think the brand has big times ahead of it in the UK! Saw a few of the bikes in the flesh for the first time, was very impressed with the over all finish :) Talked about schedules and looking at receiving the bikes early march, saying that I think we will be limited to stock as we have started taking reservations for these bikes already. So anyone interested then please give me a call so we can get your name on one..

Covered most points in the meeting. Also raised the question of price, over the German guys..
Here is the official answer from them...

"There is a difference in price due to several factors one being the range in Europe is bought directly and involve no distributor, also currency exchange rates compound the matter.
However with a trusted distributor comes many benefits such as -
Full warranty and dealer/customer support
(we will only honour warranty on bikes bought in uk)
Significant marketing campaign across all sectors
Product reviews online/printed
Dealer network to support the brand"

Now remember this is Haibike, not me saying this.

I will however ask anyone who is quibbling the pricing to contact me directly via email -
sales@e-bikeshop.co.uk

I am in the position to help people out if it means buying the bike in the UK as opposed to getting one sent over from Germany. So please don't hesitate to contact me..

If anyone has any questions please just ask I will reply as soon as I can for you.
Really excited to start getting these bikes through now.

Regards
Martin
