I have a haibike trekking 6.0 with 1600 miles on the clock. I’ve let my chain go and it’s wear is more than what’s stated for changing no doubt my cassette will need replacing as with my chain crank. It doesn’t slip, it changes sweet as a nut etc.
MY question is when I upgrade to a shimano xt cassette (from the hg50 I think) will I need to replace my crank chain ring too.
is the haibike chain ring standard or is it special to haibike?

Only replace a cassette or chainwheel if you can actually see wear compared with a new one. Don't just look at what you have because the strange shapes can look like wear, but are not.
