Hall sensor mismatch ! Help !

You need to test that the halls are actually working. Stuff your probes up the back of the hall connector while switched on. Measure between each of the colours and the black wire. The blue, green and yellow should sitch on and off with 5v when you turn the motor backwards.

Thanks, will check tonight. If they are blown do you happen to know what the halls sensors are in a bpm2 350w ?

I'm near a maplin today and tomorrow so have a chance to pick some up

Check them before buying replacements. The designation is Honeywell SS41 or equivalent.

But I gotta feeling one or more is buggered

The ku65 wouldn't notice as it runs sensorless (as you know)

Well I did as you suggested but each hall reads 4.89v on my dirt cheap multimeter when spun backwards by hand.

I presume that's close enough to 5v ?

So bit odd - going to reconnect the ku65 unless any other ideas ?

They're supposed to switch on and off as you turn the motor. Did they?
