Handlebar springs???

Hi. How would anyone stop there handlebars from swinging around when on the stand ???? I saw the other day a spring system to stop thi?? where can you get them or any other way !!. Steve

You can do the same with a bungee with a hook on each end and a cable tie. Open up the hooks enough to hook round each fork leg and then pull the middle back until it has a bit of tension and then put a cable tie around the frame to clamp it. Total cost £1 or less.

Modern bikes , and especially ebikes tend to have this problem of instability on the stand . Worst of all is probably my good old Powabyke Euro , with its lead batteries placed high up . The previous owner had removed the stand for this reason . I think that the problem is made worst by the tendency of modern bikes to have a more vertical stearing head , giving "quicker "steering . What I use on my pedal bike is a bootlace , used to tie the front wheel to the frame downtube . Very helpful when fitting heavy stuff on the carrier or panniers .

Yes, I remembered you'd thrown them all away Steve. Giant use spring types so I'd guess that Hebie spring one on ebay would do the job ok.
