anyone any idea where i can test ride ebikes up here in the north i'm in dewsbury west yorkshire with no access to westminster or plebgate

The South Yorkshire Electric Bike Centre is only 30 miles away. If you're very lucky, you might get a chance to try the new Oxygen MTB, which they have there. It won the World Championship Electric Bike race in Bristol last month. You won't find it on any websites yet. They also have quite a large range of other bikes there for you to try.
