Help fork to long!!

Hi guys n girls my ebikes having a sex change. The forks are threaded but to long and I can't get the screw down nut plate thingy past the threads so I can use spacers on top.i need to get the adjuster plate to move down fork steerer to add pressure?here is a photo...help!!

ring around, some bikeshops will have the tool to thread your fork and cut it to the correct size for you.

Thank you for reply. Is it ok to use a threadless stem?

yes, but you should ask a local bike mechanic for their advice, it's not as simple as to cut off the threaded portion and it may not be economical to buy another fork. If you change from threaded to threadless, you'll need a new stem and likely a new headset too. Your picture does not show which stem you have.

Thanks for the help.its standard stem for threaded headset.I built this thing from scrap and probably going to change the forks so not worries about getting new headset and stem .i love this thing more than my motorcycle! .
