I hope someone would be kind enough to help with a problem i have with my Ebike
I have not used it for six months and it has been outside under a plastic sheet,
The battery is fully charged, the bike starts up ok,
but when i pull back the throttle it dies and the lights on the startup panel all go out,
the same happens when i peddle, your help would be much appreciated.

Details of bike and battery storage is needed. Damp/moisture can play havoc with all electric components if left outside esp batteries and wire joints.
Connectors etc can corrode or become tarnished with light rust, damp can also affect.
Bikes just left outside under a sheet/plastic cover is asking for trouble when rain/demp is concerned.

My bikes all live outside but in a dry garage or porch where moisture or damp is kept at bay.

My guess is that OP has lead batteries, and their knacked through lack of use.

Battery age and storage/charge conditions could be the reason why, battery draw is collapsing when demand is asked of it.
Where/how has the battery been stored/kept for the past 6 months, if outside on the bike then battery will probably be shot and possible water damage may be possible. Opening and diagnosis would give a clue,
Another possible option could be damp/moisture causing a wiring short on the 5v line somewhere ?
Pas sensor or throttle may have been affected by moisture or even the controller/connections.
Will need some fault diagnosis to sort it out.

My first step would be to beg, steal (figuratively speaking) or borrow any spare battery of the same voltage temporary connect feed supply to see if it works ok or not.

Thanks Nealh,
battery has been kept indoors, will get the wd40 out.

The battery is behaving as not fully-charged. Charge it up, then measure the voltage on the terminals. post the result here.

Thanks d8veh, will do that,
however i have noticed that the front light seems to be faulty, very dim at times, but if i press the button a few times it goes on full (sometimes)

To add to my last post, the front light goes on sometimes, although very dim even though the battery isn't switched on.
