Help! Think my ball bearings on my rear wheel hub have gone?

It seems when it goes into coast mode i still have resistance
. Ive removed the wheel and brakes. Still resistance and motor sound when coasting. Is my hub broken? Or bearings? I have video but its too big to upload!

Its a 36 v ebike

Hub bearings don't usually cause resistance unless rusted quite solid due to water ingress, one may hear rough rotation but not much more.
Without the vid hard to say anything.
One can try a simple test with no battery power, connect the controller phase and any halls. By hand rotate wheel and note the force required to move it, then disconnect the the controller completely and rotate again by hand. Tell us the results.
