I think I'll exit this thread and leave it to the electronics experts: vfw and nealh!

Always worth having an idea of controller types available to make meaningful replies that are appropriate. Simply pasting links to numerous listings isn't the way to go.
For after market combo's thee aren't to many available Lishui have the odd pair on Aliexpress though when some one bought a set it didn't ant to work for no money.

The KT's are good, one can select from several controller sizes/current out put and have a choice of 10 digital displays to use.

You are new and keen to extol your knowledge like many of us, but the best way of supporting threads is sticking to useful info or experience that has come your way which can be of use to an issue.

These are great thank you so much for your help. Oh just a quick one though, my original controller was a 36v 15A controller for a 250watt motor. Can I use a higher spec controller for example a 36-48v 21A for 350w motor or does it need to be exactly the same spec as my original controller?. Thanks again

In principle, yes, but i wouldn't go any higher than 18A in case your battery can't supply the current. Also there are some risks for the motor at 21A, depending on how you use it.
