Can anyone point me in the direction to finding a 36v charger for this connection.
Is it a dmx 5pin connection or am I miles off!

I've got a soldering iron if necessary,
Original charger is 70quid from halfrauds and won't be in stock until middle of December.
BTW there's no information on halfrauds website of the specs
Cheers guys

It's not the connector that's important. It's what goes through it. Normally multi-pin connectors either have data going through them or they use some sort of remote switching, so you need a charger with exactly the same functions.

Guy I'm buying bike off, managed to run over it in your car was in his garage, crushed to smithereens,
I was hoping I could just buy a 36v power supply and solder the connection, but with it being 5pins I'm unsure

Sounds highly suspicious to me. I'd be surprised if the case would even crack if you ran over it in a car. Does he have the bits? That would answer some of our questions about how it works and would save having to take the screws out.

We often get people asking about chargers on this forum. I always ask where the old charger is, and either we get a suspicious answer or no answer at al. Obviously, if the bike was nicked a gained by some other dodgy circumstances, there would be no charger and keys, so when you see it, ask the guy show you how the battery comes off and have a look at the lock.

Frankly, I wouldn't touch a bike without a charger.
Too obvious that its been stolen and the thief is afraid to buy another charger through legitimate channels.
Tell the guy to get another charger himself, without the charger the bike is zero value.

Guy got replacement charger from halfords and I have bought the bike.
I see its 42v 2amp 5pin xlr
I want another charger for at work also, but Halfords want 65 pound for the charger.
Could I buy a generic 42v charger with higher amps, and buy a 5 pin xlr adapter and just pin it out as the diagram on the charger.
Bike is fantastic but I'm thinking of still building my own ebike

That model of charger (suffixed "XH") has all 5-pins connected; there's extra circuitry in there which other versions of similar looking Sans charger models don't include. Kudos and FreeGo have e-bike models which use a similar SF-06 battery, and they may (or may not) use that same 5-pin XH version of charger, but IMHO I think Halfords might be the simplest route.
