The seller seems to have a lot of positive feedback (100%) and has been an ebay member for nearly 5 years. It could be genuine?

Something doesn't seem quite right with the vague description ?
I wouldn't bid without asking a few questions about why it hasn't got a battery or charger(if it hasn't).....

If you closely at the photo, it has no front suspension which would make it a 905eco, not a 905se as stated by Gareth, but it does have a label saying City on the cross bar. Therefore, if I am correct it is not a standard bike and should be more easily identifiable by someone. Of course a frame number would be the ultimate proof, perhaps someone from Wisper should anonymously contact the seller and ask about it?

Hopefully Gareth will see this thread, I have also sent him a PM.

not all 905SE City bikes have front suspension, only the 905SE City S (slightly more expensive) Mine does not.

However if it is a City it is also missing the rack - and is liable to be a pre-2009 model as it has the green button - it looks like parts of this bike have already been stripped and sold elsewhere, whether by the current seller or whoever has had it previously.

well I have asked the following:

"sounds very suspicious and looks probably stolen?? NO battery? No charger? NO rack? No mudguards? And cables hanging out the bottom! What have you to say for yourself? This item is being discussed on Pedelec E bike forum?"

He might well have bought it to do up and left it sitting in the back of the shed, chargers can get lost over time but it's dubious why he wasn't supplied the battery. It could well be this seller unwittingly bought a stolen bike himself and unfortunately it's now worth very little in it's current condition.

You are right of course Mussels, innocent until proved guilty, but it does look suspicious.

If it was new then I'd say there's definately something wrong but it's a 2009 model that's had some use but not a lot. It could have been used during a driving ban and then forgotten about, it's plausible. Of course it's also plausible that it was stolen at some point but not a certainty.

I would of thought that wisper if they are professionally run... have stamped the frame with a serial number and that would identify the original owner.:D
