Just happened to notice that these are for sale on eBay, between £550 and £695.

Is it me, or is this the most primitive, underspecced and over priced machine available today?

39 kilos.
15ah of SLA.
12.4 mph top speed.
85 kilo max load.

Some people are going to be fooled by the Honda name into thinking that this is what pedelecs are all about.

Apparently, it has a special controller in it that controls the brake power too. WTF?

This is a design for the Japanese cycling and e-cycling conditions which are slower and very much different from ours due to their laws. In many areas they have to ride on the pavement by law and that is at much lower speeds. The way in which power is delivered is strictly prescribed by law with a formula that phases down the power very early from just 15 kph.

Completely unsuitable here in the UK.
