no the cable ties stop the black bit from falling off and getting lost tho if you check them now and then and use lock tight should be fine.

i just keep them there just in case

TRied the rear facing fly6 thinking it might give a good rear view of the suspension doing its thing, but it got plastered with mud early on so didn't work..
Will try again now I am protected...

Situation is.. old motor been sent to germanland to swap for a new one.
That was about a week ago....
Will update when I know more..

Far too clean!

First job is to go out for a nice clean road ride to ensure that the seat height is correct for climbing, then it's time to drop the motor out and fit the Rockshox Stealth dropper seat post.
Annoyingly that might have to wait a few days, as the Ultra 1964 is currently stripped down for a deep clean and service. Looking forward to this one.

The first ride was brilliant.

I only stayed on the road, and had to cut the ride short at 20 miles, but this was long enough for me to know that I'm really going to love riding this bike off road.
