If you google 'how the Dutch got their cycle paths'>you tube Video.
Its a very interesting video,between 1971 and 2010 there was an increase of 75% in cycle ownership but child cycle deaths fell from 400 plus in 1971 to 14 in 2010.
Perhaps someone could point the link please.

Excellent..Just shows if you want something you need to fight for it. Problem here being, anyone that protests or upsets the status quo are looked upon as extremists

It just seems like the people need to want it. In UK we don't or at least, not enough of us do.

Catch 22:

People won't ride bikes unless they can be segregated from cars/buses/trucks

Councils won't provide cycleways, because there's not enough bikes to use them....
