Hi all, just joined obviously. I've never had any intentions of getting an electric powered bike, until now that is. I had thought all electric bikes were boring, how wrong. I'm in no rush to do anything yet but I've got a smart (ish) mountain bike that I may want to convert and power with LiPo's. More research to do

Cheers both. I can get about 6Ah of Lipo at 45v. without much hassle. I don't want it to be a slow coach and as I only need it to cover 5 miles between charges would I be good for a 1000w rear hub?
