Steve,
My Kudos King has hydraulic brakes, Tektro. I don't know if these are off the shelf items, but could be worth exploring.
cheers,
Alan

Exspensive. Magura do them.:
BionX Press Switch for Magura brakes | enables motor cut-off even for hydraulic brakes

If it were me. I'd only upgrade the front brake to hydralic. Then you can use the back brake to cut-off your controller as long as you use both brakes together. Also, if you still want a switch on the front brake, you'll only have to buy one instead of two. I don't think you need a hydraulic brake on the back.

Otherwise do a search on the ES forum. There's lots of discussion about it there.

We have them as fit yourself kits: £149 pair including callipers, tube and handles, so not cheap. Ours have contact-less switches at the brake levers which are much more robust than traditional breaker switches. These are not yet on our website, so you would have to order through the shop.
