Ok, so internal combustion engined bikes need registering/tax/mot etc and so should bikes with electric motors over 250watts and 15.5mph+ but what about an EXTERNAL combustion engined cycle?

Can't see why this should fail! Every advantage: the only bike with heating, eco-friendly (wood burning), steam-clean your underpants as you ride, pressure cooker as extra, cook sausages (veggie, obviously) as you ride to the BBQ ...

Not such a clean, or eco form of transport, but keeping one self warm in the winter is a plus. I wonder if you get a pair of asbestos pants, and a gas mask supplied with the bike ?

This is a fine vehicle !
My first thought was that it was the bike equivalent of the Arkansas Chuggabug (those of you old enough to remember the Wacky Races cartoon)

Also gives me the chance to wheel out the old Scottish joke -
