Izips are very model specific since they have produced a wide range of types from budget cheapos to an exotic £3000 bike currently.

What you are looking at could be outdated tech with very heavy lead acid batteries or a dream bike, so you'd need to let us know what you have in mind.

Just been and looked at it.
It’s any alloy framed mbt don’t know the model. Got a motor on the other side of the gear change and is chain driven to a free wheel. & 7gears. He didn’t know the battery size, which was mounted in a carrier frame and an extra battery was £110 looked a nice bike for £550 i have got many cycles from him. and he can get full spares

That's the old Currie Electrodrive motor on that bike, a design that's been around for years. It's fairly powerful on an alloy bike but a bit noisy. They've had the occasional motor problems but as you say, spares are freely available.

At £110 for a spare battery it's a 24 volt lead acid SLA type and I don't think an SLA bike with that old type motor is a particularly good buy these days. Having said that though, it can do the job and there's not much choice at this sort of price.

However, check out bikes like the 36 volt Synergie Mistral, alloy frame, lithium battery and hub motor in a similar price area, to my mind a much better buy.

That makes it much more attractive and you are experienced enough to know if it's a decent bike.
